Scholarship Eligibility
To apply for the University of Essex Africa Scholarship, you must be eligible and be among the countries its scholarship scheme covers. Any applicants who do not eligible may not be considered for the scholarship scheme. Below are those who are eligible for the scholarship scheme.
- Applicants must be first-year in their postgraduate course
- Applicants must be international students from Africa who are self-sponsored themselves.
- Applicants must be graduates intending to pursue a Master’s program because the scholarship scheme is only meant, postgraduate students.
- The applicants must be residents in Africa fending for themselves.
- Applicants must have graduated from university with a bachelor degree certificate
- Applicants who are not on scholarship in the University of Essex
- Applicants who graduated with second class upper division
The following CPGA is considered for:
- Nigeria: 3/5
- Ghana:3.0/4.0
- Applicants from African Union member countries: 2:1 and above

- Academic records ( University Transcripts and other related documents)
- International Passport
- Evidence of admission (admission letter)
- First-year postgraduate result(the graduate students in their first Master’s degree level)
Application Process
The applicants should follow the process to apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship will be based on merit and the application should be submitted online by supplying requirements according to the academic records of the applicants and every that applies will be considered for the application process.
The submitted transcripts and certificates will be used as yardsticks for the applicant’s consideration. From their academic records, those who will be picked will be known through their academic grades. Candidates can support their application with more worthy academic records. Any candidates that meet the stated requirements and conditions necessary for the scholarship will be considered.
Mode of Payment
The scholarship is designed to offset part of tuition not fully paid arrangements. Any other fees such as registration or any other are not covered by the scholarship. It’s a partly paid scholarship scheme not all expenses paid.
Application Deadline
The deadline for the scholarship scheme is still yet announced. However, the candidates should start their application earlier than later.
